I could keep everything moving. I could not tell whether my career was still moving too.

For a long time, I did what many parents do: kept everything moving.

Work. Childcare. Ambition. Logistics. It was full, but manageable.

Then life asked for more.

For me, that was a cancer diagnosis. For someone else, it may be a change at work, a move abroad, a child who needs more support or simply too many things arriving at once.

That was when I realised how fragile “managing” can be.

I was lucky to have people around me who listened, checked in and made me laugh when very little felt funny.

But friendship could not help me rethink my work, make difficult career decisions or prepare for the conversations ahead. I needed both human perspective and professional guidance.

Carrea exists for the point when carrying on is no longer enough.
